New member saying hello.

Hi guys. I am new to this community, though not a new Shelma shipper. In fact Shaggy from Scooby Doo where are you? series was my first love as a kid, which really showed that in the future I would get attracted to goofy, sweet guys (Mystery Incorporated and What's New Scooby Doo just killed Shaggy's character for me). Anyways I've been a Shelma fan for the last 14 years but I've never tried to write a fanfic about them until recently. I am in the process of writing 2 fanfics about them (one based on a prompt here) and another one for a challenge I took.

Also I come baring gifts as I took this nice shot from season 1, episode 9 "The Backstage Rage" of Scooby Doo where are you series. In this part what made me go "aww" is that when the music starts playing ans the ghosts appear everyone is standing up so as you can see in the next shot Velma is not only holding Shaggy. It seems she practically crawled in his arms for protection (I deduce this from the sudden change of height difference) and then she exclaims "I don't want to search for clues anymore!"

I did made the icon from 1 of your comic scans and since we are at it I really want to thank you for the comic scans as this is the only way for me to see a scooby doo comic since the publications don't come in my country (I am embarrassed to say that I discovered that there was a scooby doo comic when I saw your scanning). I also want to thank you because I started attempting drawing scooby doo fanarts and your comics help seem face expressions. Once again thank you so much.

Also there is no way to express my sadness on poor shaggy's treatment in this 2 shows. I mean they were making him look stupider and stupider in What's new and Mystery Inc. well let's not open this wound. I think a pup called scooby doo pretty much saved my fondness for the scooby doo shows, though some friends of mine say that show made Fred seem pretty dumb, but that's another story.

I am aware that the height difference is most probably an animation error but I prefer using my shipping shades. ;p

You're welcome! I love sharing my comic collection with fellow fans. Some of the books are hard to find even here in the USA; so I understand your frustration with not being able to get them. And I LOVE seeing people make cool icons out of them.

Pup Named Scooby Doo is my favorite Scooby show. I can understand why some people don't like how it treated Fred. But at least Fred being wacky and dumb worked in the context of that show. You can't say the same for What's New and Mystery Incorporated. :P
