Hi guys. I am new to this community, though not a new Shelma shipper. In fact Shaggy from Scooby Doo where are you? series was my first love as a kid, which really showed that in the future I would get attracted to goofy, sweet guys (Mystery Incorporated and What's New Scooby Doo just killed Shaggy's character for me). Anyways I've been a Shelma fan for the last 14 years but I've never tried to write a fanfic about them until recently. I am in the process of writing 2 fanfics about them (one based on a prompt here) and another one for a challenge I took.

Also I come baring gifts as I took this nice shot from season 1, episode 9 "The Backstage Rage" of Scooby Doo where are you series. In this part what made me go "aww" is that when the music starts playing ans the ghosts appear everyone is standing up so as you can see in the next shot Velma is not only holding Shaggy. It seems she practically crawled in his arms for protection (I deduce this from the sudden change of height difference) and then she exclaims "I don't want to search for clues anymore!"

I agree that What's New Scooby Doo and Mystery Incorporated weren't kind to poor Shaggy. What's New made him look like a brain-dead man-child. And Mystery Incorporated turned him into a dumb jerkass.


The change in height difference in that screenshot was most likely an animation error ('cause, y'know, 70s-era Hanna Barbera). But I prefer to see it through shippy goggles, too. :)
